Hi, I'm Laura, an Argentine illustrator living in Seville. I studied Graphic Design in Buenos Aires, but after finishing, I opened my own bar. Yes, that's right.
After working at the bar for almost 10 years, I quit everything and came to live in Europe. Luckily, it was three months before the pandemic hit.
And there I was, locked up like everyone else and back to doing what I always loved to do: drawing.
And what did I draw? What I knew: the bars, the drinks, the drinks, what was happening to me, my therapy sessions, my life. Influenced by old posters, the textures and fonts of bygone eras, the advertisements of yesteryear, I began to draw my life and haven't stopped. And I hope I never will either.
